Stage 1 - The in-your-own-pub training

It's the first time that a brewer has ever taken training to individual pubs - but it works! We have 2,000 qualifications to giveaway - that's four for every pub that registers - so you and another members of your team can have quality hands-on training from a beer quality expert.

A monthly draw will pick 20 pubs to go forward for the free training. another 360 pubs will be nominated by Marston's free trade and national sales teams.

The forty-strong Beer Quality Team from Marston's Brands have spent years in beer quality; running audits, problem solving and advising licensees. Now all of them have been approved by the BII to deliver their Award in Beer and Cellar Quality, the 'ABCQ' and they will arrange a convenient date and time to visit your pub to do your course.

The course lasts for 3-4 hours, depending on how many questions you ask and ends with a short multiple choice test. The course covers everything to do with the cellar, storage, and dispense of beer behind the bar. Most people pass the course and will receive a certificate in due course.

There is no catch - you DON'T have to be a current stockist of the Marston's, Banks's, Jennings or Ringwood beers. All we ask is that you are eligible to be a stockist either being free of tie or being able to buy through your beer supplier.

Stage 2 - The monthly draw stage

We love people who are passionate about beer quality and we want to reward those who are ready to go on the beer quality journey. So those who have the ABCQ or the Cask Marque award can enter into the draw stages of CaskForce. All we ask is you are eligible to be a stockist either being free of tie or being able to buy through your beer supplier.

Each month from January 2008 to July 2008 we will randomly draw our winners:

One of 20 Cask Marque awards and a year's membership could be yours. Cask Marque is a UK wide accreditation scheme for pubs and is becoming widely known by the beer drinking public with its external wall plaques as the sign of a great cask ale pub. To qualify you need to have achieved the ABCQ award or already be Cask Marque accredited.

Stage 3 - New this year the BBPA Gold Award

Each month 10 pubs with Cask Marque accreditation are picked from a draw to receive the Beautiful Beer Gold Award and £500 to invest in pub improvements.

One of these elite pubs every month will then go through to the grand final, with a chance to win their rent paid for a year (or the free trade equivilent).
